The Best Ftira in Malta According to MaltaStays.

When it comes to Malta's beloved ftira, locals hold the key to hidden treasures that are cherished secrets. MaltaStays is excited to share some of the island's best-kept ftira spots:

    1. New Life Bar (Mqabba):

    • A Well-Kept Secret: New Life Bar in Mqabba is a closely guarded secret among locals. We might risk exile from the island for revealing this gem! The search for this exceptional ftira has taken us far and wide, and it's safe to say, it's a game-changer. Antoine and his sister produce only a limited number of ftajjar per day, and they typically sell out by 11 AM. You might even find that they're gone by 10 AM on some days. But when you do manage to get your hands on one, the world simply stops. In addition to their culinary delights, the owner has an art gallery on the first floor.

    2. Dukes Snack Bar (Msida):

    • A Timeless Classic: Dukes Snack Bar has been a favorite since my sixth-form days, and I still make a weekly pilgrimage for their amazing ftira, even 15 years on. Jason, the owner, has turned the art of making ftajjar into a masterpiece. While the place doesn't typically run out of ftajjar until 3 PM, don't take the risk – Maltese ftira enthusiasts can't resist!
